As Project Manager of Quintana, Inc., Maria Quintana-Diaz oversees the development of business proposals and new business contracts, in addition to managing marketing initiatives to expand the reach of the growing company and meet the needs of its worldwide clientele. 

Prior to working at Quintana, Quintana-Diaz worked in the travel industry, familiarizing herself and expanding her knowledge of a variety of cultures and languages around the world, while simultaneously garnering significant experience in international business relations. As the administrator of a travel department at a global research firm, Quintana-Diaz was in charge of planning and facilitating large-scale events and conferences, bringing together participants from around the world. A passionate world traveler herself, she has toured 19 countries throughout Europe, several Caribbean nations, Mexico and the United States. 

Most recently, Quintana-Diaz served as a consultant for the Chicago Board of Education, providing support to the Human Resources department by assisting with staffing assignments, faculty recruitment events and participating in high level compliance meetings with the Board’s senior staff. Prior to that, she gained valuable experience in the local television industry, working for Chicago’s Channel 44 WSNS-TV and for Telemundo as an Account Executive. 

Fully fluent in Spanish, Quintana-Diaz earned her undergraduate degree in Communication and Theatre from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a Master’s degree in Arts, Entertainment and Media Management from Columbia College, Chicago. She is a two time recipient of Columbia College’s highly selective Paul Berger Fellowship, recognizing Quintana-Diaz for her academic excellence, entrepreneurial spirit and exceptional leadership qualities.
